A Victory to Remember: AFA 2011 (RCC)

It's been a while since I posted a blog here in devart. My inbox is a mess and I really do need to clean this up.
Anyways, This month oh wait...this year..yes this year has been a fruitful year for me, my friend AC and for our team/friends.

It started out with the time that I went to AFA last year with my friend Yuu. I came there to have a vacation, attend the event and support my friends Sese and her partner Kune who were the representatives of the Philippines at that time. I saw the contenders for the RCC and I told Yuu a promise that next year I am going to be the one representing the Philippines and I will be giving the best (that I can) performance and cosplay there on stage. Yuu looked at me with that sincere smile of hers and told me that she will be giving all her support.

A year has passed and me and my partner, AC joined the competition called TORCH. Whoever is the winner in that competition will be representing the Philippines for the RCC in AFA. At first, We joined the TORCH CDO City branch and we won. We then represented CDO City for the TORCH nationals in the Cosmania event. That was such a big event here in the Philippines. The competition was tough because all the competitors did so well and it was "everybody's game" as what my friend had quoted(which was true). In the end, we were blessed with the opportunity of being the representatives for AFA.

AFA's RCC wasn't also an easy walk, All the teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore had world class costumes and had awesome performances. While they were calling out the winners I got a bit nervous. They called the 3rd prize winners which was Indonesia. Then the 2nd prize winners which was Thailand and it was time for the first prize winners. I prayed silently while they were announcing the grand champions for RCC 2011. Then they called the winning team! and what I heard was Team "PHI^@*)!AL*^#ES"...i was like..."what? what did they say???" I looked at my partner and waited for him to react. He initially looked curious but then after a few seconds he realized that it was us!~ so i just followed  him (OTL...that was such a fail). Anyways,We were so happy that our team was called. I could even hear the loud cheers from our friends in the audience while they were vigorously waving the Philippine flag. It was truly an overwhelming event. Congratulations to all the teams!! Everyone gave their best and did a great job!! Kudos to everyone!!!

Thus I made this long thank you note ( be warned...when i say it's long...it's LOoooooong!!!).
